PEEL AND REVEAL LABELS

Abbey Labels now have the facility to produce 'Peel and Reveal' labels which, already popular in the food industry, is spreading to other markets. This is a basically a 2 layer label which is designed to carry additional information without increasing the size. See pictures 1 and 2.

NEW 9 COLOUR PRESS

Abbey Labels have just installed their long awaited new Gallus Arsoma 280E press. As well as increasing capacity and improving competitiveness, the new press boasts the ability to add foil to labels, has an over laminating unit and is able to produce 'Peel and Reveal' labels. Sales Director Francis Milne said "We are extremely excited about this new installation, particularly with the 'Peel and Reveal' facility as this has already helped open new accounts.

SCRATCH OFF INKS

Scratch Off Inks – Used in the Credit Card and Promotional Industries, labels are often required to cover up items such as pin numbers yet be capable of having the ink scratched off to reveal a pin number or some such promotional message. With the help from their Ink suppliers, Abbey Labels have been able to produce labels that meet all the requirements of specific scratch off labels.

“NO-LABEL LOOK” LABELS

"No-label look" labels are frequently required where product decoration is used to optimize appearance. Abbey Labels have developed a process that allows them to apply inks to the material without the use of expensive screen units thereby providing a cost effective solution for decorative bottle labels used in the Drinks and Cosmetic industries. 

ABBEY′S NEW 9 COLOUR PRESS ON ORDER

We have just placed an order for a new 9 colour, Arsoma 280 multi-function press, which facilitates the print and production of twin web, peel and seal products.

Francis Milne, our Sales Director, added, "The Arsoma also offers over-lamination and foiling facilities, and was ordered in consequence to a surge in Abbey′s self-adhesive label business."

Abbey are anticipating the new Arsoma 280 press to be installed and operational within the next three months.
