Here at Abbey Labels, we have once again invested into the future of digital label production.
We are predominantly a trade printer who serves customers in food; drink; retail; cosmetic; health products; and chemical sectors. Being able to service such a range of customers, we have seen impressive growth over the last 24 months and so, we decided to take the step of installing our second new digital label press this year!
Chairman Tom Allum says; “We are very proud to be the UK’s first full Xeikon CX3 installation. When we originally learned about the extra benefits & increased product range the press could offer our customers, we immediately placed an order”.
More about the new Xeikon CX3
The CX3 uses Xeikon’s ICE toner technology, which increases the range of substrates and materials that the press can print on. “The digital label market is starting to mature and we are finding more and more of our existing clients asking us for high quality digitally printed labels on various different materials”, says Tom.
ICE toner technology has been specifically designed to expand digital label production to heat sensitive substrates like PE substrates and thermal transfer labels. Whilst also keeping all the benefits of excellent print quality; lightfastness; food safe; and eco-friendly elements.
Once the site acceptance tests have been completed, the press should be commissioned on the 7th December 2015.
