It was 9:30am on a cold winters morning when Abbey Labels received a phone call from the local branch of the Samaritans.
One of the volunteers had accidently forgotten to order the donation labels for that mornings charity collection at the Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre, one of the busiest events in the local area.
Understanding the fantastic service that Samaritans provide within our community, Chairman Tom Allum was keen to help in any way we could.
“The Label artwork was available and material was in stock, so we were able to print and deliver labels within forty minutes of that initial telephone call.
Whilst we cannot always offer a forty-minute turnaround time, we strive to have a can-do attitude towards our customers’ requirements, however difficult or demanding they may be.”
Delighted Bury St Edmunds Samaritan fundraisers Joan & Viviane receiving their labels, at 10:10am, just 40 minutes after they made the call to Abbey Labels.
“The labels are very important to us as they identify to people that we are collecting for the local bury st Edmunds branch” says Joan of the Bury St Edmunds Samaritans
“We had a wonderful response from the local Bury people & received over £1800 in donations that will go a long way to the helping of running the local branch. Thank you so much for your help.”
